InProgress

"Since all the houses are now sold, details below, I am concentrating on the Charities to whom I have given the money.  I am closely involved in the projects they are running and am in regular contact with them.  It is very rewarding to actaully meet the children who are taking delivery of their new motorised wheelchairs, to see the young Polka Theatre group taking shape, to know that the Fairbridge youngsters are out there taking part in projetcs and learning how to trade and make money.  Being a Patron of "Yes 2 Life" will be a new experience for me and I intend to work closely with them and others in their marketing and future planning.

The last 2 years has been an enormous learing curve for me and I have been priviledged to have been given access to so much information and have received such kindness from the Charities I am involved with. I hope after my year end in September to take a break and then think how to earn that £300,000 to make my Give Away a total of £1million! The project was more successful that I could ever have imagined and some needy and disadvantaged lives have already been changed as a result."

As of June 17th, Give it Away now owns development number 2!

The second project was a plot of land in Dryburgh Rd, Putney, where we had permission to build a highly desirable, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom freehold coach house, with its own garden, parking area, and open plan downstairs living. The building work began in January 2006 and we finished it in September 2006.  We sold it ahead of its completion!

Another amazing basement provides an excellent space for use as a study, playroom, games area or leisure plasma room.

Demolition Day!

These are some of the pictures we took - it was an exciting process to watch!

The site was soon cleared and excavated ready for the basement installation. As both houses were a timber frame constuction, progress was rapid.

20th August 2005

DemolitionThis property in Akehurst Street, a lovely, quiet cul-de-sac in the Putney Heath/Roehampton area, was demolished at the beginning of July and was Give it Away’s first project. we created two new luxury, four bedroom, three bathroom houses with a full basement including, a utility room, cloakroom and play/study/recreation area with natural light. The kitchen is a delightful open plan design with full lenght sliding folding glass doors leading out onto a deck overlooking the garden.

The garden is a delight – it is a mature, woodland garden more associated with country, than town living. There are numerous flowering trees, shrubs, climbers and roses providing a safe and private haven. There is also off street parking for one car.

On the first floor there are two bedrooms with bathrooms en suite and the second floor has a further two bedrooms and one bathroom. It is an ideal family home or a spacious house for young professionals looking for extra rooms for guests and entertaining.

We installed all the latest extras which are part of today’s luxury living standards, with elegant bathrooms, state of the art kitchens, underfloor heating, all around sound, modern security systems, outdoor lighting and so on!
