I am delighted to report that “finally” after periods of extreme national, political and pandemic “disruption” both houses in West Clandon “sold” and I was able to distribute the profits, bringing the total donated to date up to, and slightly beyond £2 million which was exciting!
I thought long and hard about the effects of Covid on the Charity sector overall and like many others received numerous heart rending requests for emergency funding. I decided however, to stay with the Charities I always support as they were also suffering from lack of regular donations and funding as events were cancelled, attention was diverted to other causes and they struggled to stay in contact with us all and to deliver their normal support to the ones who need it.
But they all survived well and it was a pleasure to be able to share the profits of these two houses with them.
