Give it Away Limited is a Company who will undertake projects whose total profits will be given to children and young people in need. These profits will be generated through the development and building of property.

The Company was founded in 2005 by Charlotte Grobien, a resident of Putney, Wandsworth, and its first undertaking was the building of two new homes in the Putney Heath area followed closely by one in West Putney. These are major projects and we are going to make sure that the profits generated will be of substantial use to children and young people in need , mainly in the Wandsworth and London area.

The aim of Give it Away Ltd is to make a difference to the lives of young people living with injury, disability, disadvantaged circumstances or who lack social or educational opportunities for their future. By providing support and funding through charitable organisations who work in these areas we hope to make a positive difference to their lives. Wherever possible, registered charities who support local causes and who do not receive statutory funding will be our major beneficiaries.

All profits from the sale of the properties, which were completed in February 2007 will be distributed after interest re-payments on the loan and all other bills have been met. In Spring 2007 the big give away took place and in total £650,000 has been disrtibuted. Under the NEWS SECTION you will see these wonderful moments!

Charlotte, Kris and Laurence finally building houses!

Give It Away hopes to continue its work with further construction and property projects. The Company is managed by Charlotte Grobien whose skills lie in sales, management, marketing, risk taking and “good ideas” rather than in the technicalities of building houses!

She has personally selected and visited all the charities that the Company intends to support and will be working closely with them during the project.

Charlotte was also responsible for the task of “maximising” the profit available when the properties were sold and for the interior concepts and design. The response to requests for “support” in this venture has been overwhelmingly positive and we are very grateful to the suppliers we have worked with who entered into the spirit of this project. Everyone who is “supporting” us is listed on this web site under “Supporters” and Give it Away is indebted to them for their kindness and touched by their generosity.

Charlotte's aim is to give away £1 million and then to take a breather!

A full list of supporters plus a full resume of the charities who benefited and for how much, will be available once the properties are sold and the total profits distributed.

Laurence is the Company’s Structural Engineer and Project Planning Director. As an experienced construction professional within the building industry, he will be overseeing all aspects of planning, design, regulation approval, safety and construction works. Laurence has many years experience of running his own Company, Sage Consulting, and will be an integral part of the success of this operation.

 

 

Kris Digby

Kris is skilled in carpentry and joinery and has had 20 years “on site” experience, is the one who will make this project a reality! He will have control over all site matters, all suppliers, the timetable, the contractors, the staff schedule, as well as controlling the budgets and specifications. His attention and interest in the ‘detail’ is what will make these properties seriously desirable homes. All this he will do in his usual calm and efficient way with his sense of humour intact!
