Eikon is a Surrey based charity that has been working in the county for almost two decades, providing support to some of its most vulnerable young people and their families.
Many young people face chaotic home lives, a lack of positive role models and a multitude of barriers for personal development. The result is often low self-esteem and lack of confidence which gives rise to challenging behaviour including anger management, self-harm, anti-social attitudes, truancy, bullying, drug and alcohol misuse and more. Eikon believes in early intervention to support these young people through their individual crises by placing Youth Specialists in secondary schools, providing one-to-one mentoring, group work activities and offering residential courses. The aim is to support, guide and protect at the point of need to try and reduce subsequent intervention, and costly remedial action.
