Christmas Donations December 2024

Christmas Donations December 2024

Charlotte and Sean met at their usual lunch venue with the added bonus of a Christmas Tree and a pink envelope cheque! It was time again for some Xmas cheer at the end of 2024 and it was good to meet Back Up Trust, Eikon, and Home Start Wandsworth with the famous pink envelope in hand!  A donation was also made to UK Youth but we have yet to take the picture!  It was also very convenient that these donations fell into the time scale of “The Big Give” so we were able to double our money to some of these Charities.

BACKUP TRUST

Backup Trust LogoCharlotte and Sean met at their usual lunch venue with the added bonus of a Christmas Tree and a pink envelope cheque!  Back Up Trust support all age groups living with spinal cord injuries, giving them help with adjusting to a different way of living, engaging them in sports and activities they thought they might not be able to do any more and providing the families with help, advice and comfort.  Give it Away’s cheque will continue to help this mentoring aspect of their work.

HOME START WANDSWORTH Christmas DonationHOME START WANDSWORTH

Home Start WandsworthEveryone had a lovely evening at their annual Christmas carol service in Wandsworth where traditionally they receive the pink envelope from Give it Away.  As well as a thoroughly enjoyable and festive event, we heard from local families often with young children who were struggling with multiple issues who have benefitted from the kind care and support that Home Start offer.  Give it Away’s donation will help them to continue this valuable work.

Give It Away has been a long time supporter of Eikon in Surrey who do vital work with young people encountering multiple problems in their lives who need help, guidance and support.  Chris and Charlotte enjoyed an early January lunch and he was glad to receive a “doubled” cheque as they took part in The Big Give!  This will be used for many of their ongoing school projects and the vital one to one mentoring programme.
